PEEL SCRAP METAL RECYCLING LTD has been operating and serving customers in the Greater Toronto Area since 1990. With a long tradition in the scrap metal recycling industry, Peel was founded on the core principles of friendly and efficient customer service, honesty in all business dealings and complete integrity within the industry.
Reinforcing these core principles, we have an extremely well-trained staff, consistently employ responsible environmental techniques and invest in the most up-to-date technology and equipment.
These key aspects of our business have led to healthy and consistent growth and stability through long lasting relationships with many of our customers.
OUR HISTORY IN THE SCRAP INDUSTRY. Gary Dvorkin, Peel's President, is the third generation of the Dvorkin family in the scrap metal industry, the beginning of which dates back to 1918 when Gary's grandfather, David Dvorkin, established the Western Hide & Junk Company in Calgary, Alberta. In 1940, Gary's father, Ted Dvorkin, took over the family business and Gary's brother Rick came on board in 1965 followed by Gary in 1972. In 1990, Gary, with his partner and brother-in-law, Jeff Shaffer, started Peel Scrap Metal Recycling Ltd. in Mississauga.
In keeping with this family tradition, Gary's son, Jeremy Dvorkin entered the business in 2003, and is now a partner.
OUR CUSTOMER BASE falls into three main categories:
The first group is the general public: This could be anyone who is cleaning out a garage, workshop or basement and has a small or large quantity of metal they need to responsibly dispose of.
The second group are the tradespeople, construction managers, contractors, plumbers, electricians and independent scrap collectors.
Finally, we deal with companies in a wide range of industries who, through their manufacturing or service processes, have a need for our services.
